THE MANGRUM
A simple but effective physical ploy named for its originator, the late Lloyd Mangrum, who would stand in his opponent's peripheral vision wearing white shoes and cross his legs as the man made his swing.
THE MANGRUM:
1. As your opponent addresses the ball, take a square stance, with 70 percent of your weight on your right foot.
2. As he begins his takeaway, your left foot releases. When he reaches the midpoint of his backswing, your left foot begins its looping move . . .
3. . . . . then accelerates to a strong finish.
