• Raquel Castro is a friend of Christine Levis, marketing guru for Del Rey Books. The Kittens and Smokey is the title of her book, which is a story about cats and their owner.

• Vicki Costikyan is the stepdaughter of Eleanor Lang, publicist for Del Rey Books. Her book, Albert's New Home, is the fictional adventures of a rabbit

• Samantha J. Gil is the daughter of House of Collectibles editor Randy Ladenheim-Gil. Her book, a how-to book about food and vitamins for cats, is entitled What and How to Feed Your Cat.

• Kristen Lange is the niece of Christine Levis, marketing guru for Del Rey Books. Her true-life story about the author's visit to her aunt's house is called A Weekend at My Aunt's House.

• Domeeka Long is a friend of Chantal Williams, daughter of Ceneta Lee-Williams of the Ballantine sales department. Her book The Jet Ski is a family Jet Ski adventure.

• Alex Tsocanos is a friend of Ellen Key Harris, Ballantine's Director of Online Projects. Lost in the City is her autobiographical account of two girls trying to find their way to Grand Central (an amusingly frustrating adventure).

• Chantal Williams is the daughter of Ceneta Lee-Williams of the Ballantine sales department. Her The Undefeated Team is sports non-fiction about the author's winning basketball team
