Part 1--Cat Food
One of the most important parts of a cat's diet is catfood. You see it in every supermarket. You may want every can and sack you see. But which one should you purchase? Ask yourself this:
Is this a high-quality, commercial brand?
Does the cat have all the nutrients your cat need?
Can you buy it without greatly changing your cat's diet?
If you answered yes to all these questions, you can purchase the catfood.
As for water, it is best to filter it. Keep it in a separate bowl, and choose a different color than the food bowl, so your cat doesn't get confused.
Part 2--Vitamins
Everyone knows it may be hard to make your cat take its vitamins. If your cat develops a strong dislike for vitamins, follow these tips:
Check the ingredients. There may be something in the vitamins your cat doesn't like.
Test the width of the vitamins. They may be too big for your cat to swallow.
Above all, check with your vet. He or she can help you find better vitamins.
If the vitamins are fine and your vet agrees, but your cat still refuses them, all you can do is cope with it.
Part 3--More Info
As a kitten, your cat should eat three small meals each day, including water. When your cat grows up, it can eat two meals, and drink as much water as it needs.
