Cover of book Once upon a time, there was a cat named Smokey and a girl named Raquel Castro. Smokey is a girl. She is gray and she has kittens. Smokey had three kittens. Their names were Stripey and Chubby and Sleepy. The kittens go under the table all day. They were all playing. Smokey and I were watching the kittens play.

Then it was time for the kittens to eat, and Smokey went to the kitchen. I was with the kittens and Smokey. Then all of us were getting to go to bed.

"Today is Friday," I said to Smokey. "I have to go to school."

Smokey said, "What do you do in school?"

"Well, I do lots of things at school," I said. "Like when we do writing."

"What do you write on?" asked Smokey.

I said, "In a book."

"What else do you do?" Smokey asked.

"Well, we do activities, and in the morning we get out our short book. It talks about things like what is the scariest thing that I ever saw. I said that I saw a mouse. My cat ate the head, and I saw the blood," I said to Smokey. I said, "I have to go to school now."

So I went to school, and I saw my friends there. Their names were Katherine, Stacey, Jessnia, Carly, and Jessica. I also saw all of my other friends. In the morning we had to write, and after that we wrote in our core book.

"My core book color is green," I said to Katherine.

We ate and wrote in the core book. I had an apple and a bag of chips for a snack.

When snack time was over, we had to go to the gym.

"Gym," Katherine said in a really loud voice.

When gym was over we had to go to the classroom and read a book. I read The Magic Tree House. Then we ate lunch. I had a sandwich.

Then we went outside and played with our friends. I played with my friend Katherine. Then we went to class, and went home. I saw my cat Smokey and the kittens.

Then we ate dinner, and I did my homework. And I went to bed with Smokey and the kittens.
