Stich n’ Pitch
posted on September 26, 2008
Potter Craft publicist Sarah Breivogel recently attended the Stich n’ Pitch event at Shea Stadium in New York. Here is her recap of the memorable night!
And Click here to launch a slideshow of the evening!
Despite the wind and rain and chilly temps, fans were out in abundance at the 2nd annual Stitch n’ Pitch event held at Shea Stadium. Potter Craft’s own knitting superstars Kay Gardiner and Wenlan Chia were in attendance. Also in attendance from Potter Craft- Melissa Bonventre, Erica Smith, Rebecca Behan, and Ava Kavyani.
Cameos were made by Debbie Stoller, Shirley Paden, Nicky Epstein, Beth Temple, and the fully decked out Lily Chin. Chin’s hand knitted Mets uniform complete with ball and glove was the hit of the night!
The Stitch n’ Pitch committee was honored on the field alongside Mr. Met which drew huge cheers from the fans.
Authors chatted with fans who got a chance to flip through books, ooh and ahh over sample projects, and chat with their favorite knitting celebs.
The Mets ended the evening on a high note beating the Cubs in the bottom of the 9th inning, 7-6.
