Folk Art Needlepoint Book Launch
posted on September 12, 2008
On September 17th, we’ll be joining folk-art lovers and needlepoint enthusiasts at The Folk Art Museum in New York City as Ruth Peltason celebrates the launch of her new book, Folk Art Needlepoint. With elements both whimsical and practical, folk art celebrates American history and has become a rich source of inspiration for today’s crafter.
Ruth Peltason has selected 20 of her favorite objects from the American Folk Art Museum and transformed them into needlepoint patterns, from pillows to paperweights, for all different skill levels. Complete with techniques and material suggestions, paired with beautiful photographs and historical anecdotes, Folk Art Needlepoint provides everything you need to bring folk-art into your life … and home!
The launch party and book signing is open to the public, so if you’re in the New York Area, come join the celebration as we toast to Ruth’s new book:
September 17th, 4pm - 6pm
The American Folk Art Museum
45 West 53rd Street, New York, NY 10019
If you can’t make it, be sure to visit the blog next week to check out our pictures of the event!
