A Fine Fleece - Take the Challenge!
posted on May 2, 2008
Many of you have already discovered the new book from Lisa Lloyd, A Fine Fleece.
You can read a few recent reviews by bloggers here:

My favorite feature of the book is how Lisa shows the finished project in both a handspun yarn and a commercial yarn so that you can train your eye to understand how fiber and texture affect a piece.
Take the Lisa Lloyd Challenge!
Can you guess which is made from handspun yarn and which is from commercial yarn? Post your guesses in the comments section and I’ll post the answer on Monday!

this book is so on my wish list right now! i am guessing gray on left to be handspun, blue on right commercial.

I'm guessing the blue is commercial and the grey is handspun.

I feel like it's a trick question, so I'm going with blue being handspun and the gray is milled. Both look soft and lovely.

I think the gray is the handspun. I have a knit pattern that works like that one...It was given to me for baby blanket. You make each set of 2 waves. I made it in soft baby green in a lightweight baby yarn. It was beautiful.

What fun! I think it's the blue that's hand spun.
