A Harlequin term. Drones are poor people living in the industrial world. They are also a significant amount of the population in the so-called developing world. Drones are so overwhelmed by the challenge of surviving and feeding their children that they are unaware of the Vast Machine. Nevertheless, in contrast to citizens, drones find it easier to become aware of the Machine and are open to seeing the world in a different way. The Harlequin Libra once wrote: "Citizens could see the light, but won’t. Drones won’t see the light, but could." The Harlequin Thorn reportedly told his daughter, Maya, "Citizens ignore the truth. Drones  are just too tired."
