Welcome to the January issue of Potter Craft News!

Happy New Year!

When the ball dropped from the top of Times Square this year, it marked an especially significant milestone for Potter Craft. We celebrated our first birthday! The beginning of our second year gives us the chance to reflect not only on the beautiful books we’ve published but also on the amazing people we’ve had an opportunity to meet in the crafting community—many have become friends, and many more we idolize like rock stars (you know who you are).

This year offers another exciting lineup, with books from Wenlan Chia, Barbara Albright, Berta Karapetyan, Annie Modesitt, and Clara Parkes. Their designing talents and astute insight are just a few of the things we have to look forward to. There is so much more and we promise to keep you posted. In the meantime, here’s a peek at what we’re releasing in January: Wedding Knits by Suss Cousins comes just in time for anyone who got engaged during the holidays; Simple Sewing with a French Twist by Celine Dupuy offers ooh-la-la style for aspiring seamstresses; and not one, but two books from Erika Knight provide you with all the patterns you need to knit up a wardrobe of classic and glamorous looks.

Thank you all for your support, your ideas, and your creative spirit. May 2007 be your craftiest year yet!

Katie Ebben offers some advice from her book Sew Stylish:

There is nothing so effective as a bit of nifty trimming to transform the most boring article of clothing or household item, but use it as a decorative weapon with a degree of caution... read more.
