THE ADVENTURE OF ADVERB THE CAT
by Natalie Braun

Adverb ran away from Eric and Ellen's house and we missed him from Sunday to Thursday. And he ran away again Thursday morning. I hope he will come back.

Adverb went with his friends to a hunting party, and he caught five mice. Three of 'em were babies. And those three children had a mother and a father, which were the other two mice. He caught the whole family.

The five mice that he caught were playing. The three kid mice were playing ring- around-the-rosy, and the mother and father were playing a game of chess. That's when Adverb snuck up and pounced!

Then he ate his supper and came back to the house and went to sleep in the house.

The next morning he went away and went with his friends to go play in their cat playground, a playground where cats go. At the playground they got on the merry-go-round and went around and around and around and around until finally they fell off. They were dizzy, so they took a nap.

And then they went to a cat restaurant and had some catnip.
