HELPING BIRDS IN PERIL

There are numerous international, national and local organizations that work effectively on behalf of the birds. Find one that suits you, and support it. If you belong to one already, then join another. Most areas in the country have Provincial or State and local Field Naturalists' organizations.

Habitat protection is an increasingly critical component in any strategy to save the world's threatened birds. BirdLife International identifies, monitors and protects a global network of Important Bird Areas (IBAs) to help the conservation of the world's birds and other biodiversity.
