Bloodfire Quest, Book Two of the Dark Legacy of Shannara trilogy, comes out today!

As usual, Terry will be touring for the new book's release, visiting several bookstores in the western US. You can see his tour below or by clicking HERE. If you have never been to a Terry Brooks event but he is coming within a few hours of you, make the trip and go see him. He is great fun. He usually reads from a forthcoming work not yet in print, answers questions with wit and interest, and then signs books—most of the time long into the evening.

Terry is doing something a bit different for his Seattle, WA University Bookstore event though. He invited me to join, his Web Druid! My book, The Dark Thorn, is newly published and he took pity on me. Said I needed a proper launch party for my book. Said he wanted more than my mother, father, and an unknown beggar in the crowd. Said it would be good for me to leave the cave I write in and feel sunshine on my face.

Said I'll get better looking on stage with him.

Said it would be fun.

How can I say no? So I will be with Terry in front of his fans at the March 14th Seattle, WA event. In a way, I guess it makes sense. Some of you have been following my web work for almost two decades now; some of you have even read The Dark Thorn and apparently loved it based on the reviews.

But we didn't stop there!

We invited Todd Lockwood to join us. Todd lives in the Seattle area too and contributed the interior art for Wards of Faerie and Bloodfire Quest as well as the cover for The Dark Thorn and the upcoming anthology Unfettered! He will sign all three published books if asked.

So those of you going to the University Bookstore event in Seattle on March 14, 2013 will have three of us there! Hopefully not boring you to tears with stories of our personal triumphs and individual greatness! Ha!
