Dear cooks,

Whew: we've made it through another year of recipes, all in the service of highlighting the superb chefs and cookbook writers in the Knopf Doubleday pantheon. The Borzoi Cooks have had a lot of fun finding and testing these recipes for you, and I hope every one of our readers have found something delicious to cook in the past year.

Every holiday season, my mind inevitably turns to cookies. I'm not sure how the idea of a holiday cookie platter got started, but it's a tradition I joyfully turn to every December. Fortunately, many of our Knopf cookbook authors have cookie recipes floating around online, and I'd like to round them up here for you. If you decide to make any of these, send me a picture! Maybe we can get a delicious cookie collage going.
