Official Contest Rules & Regulations

    NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Enter by writing about What Irish city you would most like to visit and why? in 300 words or less on an 8½ × 11 piece of paper. Print your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, and date of birth on the back of the paper and send your submission to "Rebels of Ireland" Contest, Random House, Doubleday Marketing 1745 Broadway, Mail drop 22–3, New York, NY 10019. Entries must be mailed separately and received by Random House no later than April 28, 2006. LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER PERSON. Partially completed or illegible entries will not be accepted. Random House is not responsible for lost, late, mutilated, illegible, stolen, postage due, incomplete or misdirected entries.

    Contest is open to all legal residents of the United States who are over the age of 18 on April 28, 2006. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void wherever prohibited or restricted by law. Employees of Random House Inc., its parent, subsidiaries and affiliates, and their immediate family members, and persons living in their household and winners of The Princes of Ireland contest are not eligible to enter this contest.

    One Grand Prize Winner will receive a trip for two to Ireland, including round trip air fare from New York to Dublin, and hotel accommodations for 5 nights. Blackout dates include June 15 through September 15 and from December 15 through December 31st. Prize valid for one year from date of notification. (approx. retail value $3500 US). Ten (10) Second Prize Winners will receive a 50th Anniversary edition of the "Doors of Dublin" poster (approx. retail value: $25 US).

    Winners will be chosen on or about May 19, 2006 from all eligible entries received by Random House. The contest will be judged by Random House staff based on the quality and persuasiveness of the submission Winners will be notified by mail and the Grand Prize Winner will be required to sign and return affidavit(s) of eligibility and release of liability within 14 days of notification. A noncompliance within that time period or the return of any notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and the selection of an alternate winner. In the event of any other noncompliance with rules and conditions, prize may be awarded to an alternate winner. Winners will be notified by mail on or about June 1, 2006. Taxes, if any, are the winner's sole responsibility. RANDOM HOUSE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SUBSTITUTE PRIZES OF EQUAL OR GREATER VALUE IF PRIZES, AS STATED ABOVE, BECOME UNAVAILABLE.

    By participating, winner agrees that Random House, its parent company, assigns, subsidiaries or affiliates, and advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies will have no liability whatsoever, and will be held harmless by winner (and winner's parent/legal guardian) for any liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind to person, including death, and property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the acceptance, possession, misuse, or use of the prizes, or participation in this contest. By entering the contest, the winners consent to the use of the winner's name, likeness, and biographical data for publicity and promotional purposes on behalf of Random House Inc. with no additional compensation or further permission (except where prohibited by law).
