News Authors Our Company How to Purchase Contact Us For Retailers

Faith in Fiction

The goal of the Faith in Fiction program is to get our new fiction titles into the hands of retailers in Christian book stores across the U.S. As a buyer, you can use this opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge on important titles coming into the market. We use the feedback you provide to better understand trends in what customers are buying, and ultimately to further the missions of WaterBrook and Multnomah's lines: to provide life-changing, inspirational fiction to the Christian marketplace and to keep your trust one book at a time.

Each month, you will receive two fiction titles: one from WaterBrook and one from Multnomah. We then ask you to complete the accompanying questionnaire on one of the enclosed titles and send it back to us; the copies of the books are yours to keep.

How can I join?

  1. Sign up by emailing us at info@waterbrookpress.com, providing us with your store name, address, and a contact person.
  2. You will begin receiving 2 books each month (one WaterBrook title and one Multnomah title) within 30 days.
  3. To remain an active member, simply send back the short questionnaire on the book of your choice each month.

If you are already a member of our Faith in Fiction program, thank you for your participation. We appreciate you!

Faith in Fiction Selection for the month of March 2008:

Ruby Among Us
Tina Ann Forkner

Sometimes the key that unlocks your future lies in someone else’s past

Lucy DiCamillo is safely surrounded by her books, music, and art – but none of these reclusive comforts or even the protective efforts of her grandmother, Kitty, can shield her from the memory of the mother she can no longer remember. Lucy senses her grandmother holds the key, but Kitty seems as eager to hide from the past as Lucy is eager to find it.

From the streets of San Francisco and Sacramento, to the lush vineyards of the Sonoma Valley, Lucy follows the thread of memory in search for a heritage that seems long-buried with her mother, Ruby.

What she finds is enigmatic and stirring in this redemptive tale about the power of faith and mother-daughter love.

My Soul to Keep
Melanie Wells

As nasty as I knew Peter Terry to be, I never expected him to start kidnapping kids. Much less a sweet, funny little boy with nothing to protect him but a few knock-kneed women, two rabbits, and a staple gun…

It’s psychology professor Dylan Foster’s favorite day of the academic year—graduation day. A day of pomp, circumstance, and celebration. And after all the mortar boards are thrown, Dylan and some of her best friends will gather around a strawberry cake to celebrate Christine Zocci’s sixth birthday. But the joyful summer afternoon goes south when a little boy is snatched from a neighborhood park, setting off a chain of events that seem to lead exactly nowhere.

Police are baffled, but Christine’s eerie connection with the kidnapped child sends Dylan on a chilling investigation of her own. Is the pasty, elusive stranger Peter Terry to blame? Exploding light bulbs, the deadly buzz of a Texas rattlesnake, and the vivid, disturbing dreams of a little girl are just pieces in a long trail of tantalizing clues leading Dylan in her dogged search for the truth.
