Official Sweepstakes Rules & Regulations

ELIGIBILITY
Participants must be 13 years of age or older as of January 12, 2010. Open to residents of all fifty United States and the District of Columbia. Participants are limited to entering each sweepstakes one time. Employees of Random House Inc., and Hyperfactory, their parents, subsidiaries and affiliates, and their immediate family members, and persons living in their household are not eligible to enter this sweepstakes. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void wherever prohibited or restricted by law.

PRIZES
There will be four separate sweepstakes, each offering a single set of identical prizes to one grand prize winner in each sweepstakes. The sets of prizes include:

1 (one) Flip Camera - approximate retail value $200.00
1 (one) copy of Very LeFreak by Rachel Cohn - approximate retail value $17.00
1 (one) copy of Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan- approximate retail value $8.00
1 (one) copy of Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan - approximate retail value $9.00.

HOW TO ENTER
To enter the sweepstakes, text the appropriate keyword (see below) to 49737 within the applicable time period. You must use a wireless, SMS-capable telephone. Once you have properly text-messaged the appropriate keyword to 49737, you will be sent a reply via text messaging asking you to confirm by texting the keyword CONFIRM. Standard text-message rates and other charges may apply; check your mobile plan for details. Available on participating carriers only. Please consult your wireless-service provider regarding pricing plans. The prizes will be awarded to the persons in whose names the telephones is registered from which the winning text entries were transmitted.

The time for entering each sweepstakes is as follows:

Period 1 - 12:00 a.m. January 12, 2010 to 11:59 p.m., January 18, 2010.
Period 2 - 12:00 a.m. January 19, 2010 to 11:59 p.m., January 25, 2010.
Period 3 - 12:00 a.m. January 26, 2010 to 11:59 p.m., February 1, 2010.
Period 4 - 12:00 a.m. February 2, 2010 to 11:59 p.m., March 1, 2010.

Where to find the keyword for each sweepstakes:
The keyword for each of the four sweepstake periods may be found during each such period on posters distributed in major U.S. cities, or by going to http://www.youtube.com/verylefreak. Or participants may enter by texting the following keywords during the applicable periods:

Period 1 - WIFI
Period 2 - LAPTOP
Period 3 - MOBILE
Period 4 - VERYLEFREAK

Partially completed entries will not be accepted. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete or misdirected entries, or for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission or any human error that may occur in the receipt or processing of online entries.

SELECTION OF WINNERS
Winners will be chosen at random on or about March 15, 2010 from all eligible entries received by Random House Children's Books. Odds of winning are based on number of entrants. Winners will be notified by telephone on or about March 17, 2010. The prizes will be awarded in the name of the winners' parents or legal guardians if winners are under the age of 18 on January 12, 2010. Taxes, if any are the sole responsibility of the winners or their parents or legal guardians.

RESERVATIONS
Winners, or their parents or legal guardians may be required to execute and return, within 14 days of receiving notification, affidavits of eligibility and releases. Noncompliance within that period or the return of any notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and the selection of an alternate winner. In the event of any other noncompliance with the Official Rules and conditions, the prize may be awarded to an alternate winner. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value if the grand prizes become unavailable.

The sweepstakes shall be construed according to, and be governed exclusively by United States law. By entering the sweepstakes, each participant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, Random House Children's Books, ("Sponsor"), which shall be final and binding in all respects. By entering in the sweepstakes, participants agree to release, discharge and hold harmless the Sponsor and Hyperfactory, their parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, retailers, agencies and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents, from any and all damages whether direct or indirect, which may be due to or arise out of participation in the sweepstakes or any portion thereof, or the acceptance, use/misuse or possession of prizes. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to use the winner's name, likeness and biographical data for editorials, advertising, and promotional purposes in all electronic or print media without payment of additional compensation or further permission (unless prohibited by law). Entry names will NOT be used for subsequent mail solicitation. For the names of the four grand prize winners, available after March 17, 2010, please send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to: "Very LeFreak Sweepstakes" Random House Children's Books, 1745 Broadway Mail Drop 10-1, New York, NY 10019. Washington and Vermont residents may omit return postage.
