Rachel Cohn and David Levithan Return
Rachel Cohn & David Levithan have written three books together: Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist, Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List, and most recently Dash & Lily's Book of Dares. On their recent visit to Random Buzzers they chatted about writing as a pair:

David: "We're about to spend a lot of time together, touring around. But when we're writing, we barely see each other—we let our chapters do the conversing until the book is done."

Rachel: "Collaborating for us is much faster, primarily because we discuss the story so little while we're actually writing it. And there's always an impetus to write fast when writing with a partner, because you can't wait to see how the other responds!"

Two girls, centuries apart
In her new book Revolution, Jennifer Donnelly tells a love story like no other. A majority of the story takes place in 18th century Paris but stars Andi, a modern-day Brooklyn girl. During her recent visit to Random Buzzers, Jennifer shared her passion for history—check out some of these responses!

Buzzer Malbebe asked, "What is your favorite time period in history?"
Jennifer Donnelly: "All periods, except the caveman days. No silk. No chocolate. No tea. No Caravaggio. Too dull for words."

Buzzer Frazzletastic asked, "If you could be best friends with anyone in the past, who would you pick and why?"
Jennifer Donnelly: "I would pick Elizabeth I. She has alway fascinated me, and I would learn so much from her. She was smart, shrewd, brave and funny—all qualities I admire."
