I. HOW TO ENTER
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Enter by creating a playlist on www.nickandnorah.com
and providing the other information required. LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER
USER PER DAY. All entries must be received between 12:01 AM on May
23, 2006 and 11:59 PM EST on June 26, 2006. In the event of a dispute
about entries submitted by multiple individuals using the same e-mail
account, entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized
subscriber of the e-mail account used to enter the sweepstakes at
the actual time of entry. The authorized e-mail account subscriber
is deemed to be the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address
by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other
organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses
or the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Entries
generated by script, macro, robotic, programmed, or any other automated
means are prohibited and will be disqualified.
II. ELIGIBILITY
Sweepstakes is open to all legal residents of the United States
who are over the age of 13 on May 23, 2006. All federal, state and
local laws and regulations apply. Void wherever prohibited or restricted
by law. Employees of Random House Inc., its parent, subsidiaries
and affiliates, and their immediate family members, and persons
living in their household are not eligible to enter this sweepstakes.
III. PRIZES
25 winners will receive a $25.00 iTunes gift certificate and a copy
of Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist (approximate retail value:
$41.95).
IV. WINNERS
Five Winners will be chosen at random every week from all eligible
entries received by Random House Children’s Books. Odds of
winning are based on number of entrants. All prizes will be awarded.
By participation, entrants agree to be bound by the official rules
and the decision of Random House. Winners will be notified by email
every Tuesday for the month of June 2006. The prizes will be awarded
in the name of the winners and must be claimed by contacting Random
House by return email within seven days or the prize will be forfeited.
Taxes, if any are the sole responsibility of the winners.
V. RESERVATIONS
Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Random House to
use the winner’s name, likeness and biographical data for
editorials, advertising, and promotional purposes in all electronic
or print media without payment of additional compensation or further
permission (unless prohibited by law). Random House assumes no responsibility
for any error; omission; interruption; deletion; defect; delay in
operation or transmission; communications-line failure; or the theft
destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entries. Random
House is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction
of any telephone network or lines; computer online systems, servers,
or providers; computer equipment or software; or failure of e-mail
or entry on account of technical problems or traffic congestion
on the Internet or at any Web site or combination thereof, including
injury or damage to the participant’s or to any person’s
computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading
materials from this Web site or sweepstakes. By entering, participants
and their parents and legal guardians release and hold harmless
Random House, their respective parent, subsidiaries, affiliates,
directors, officers, employees, attorneys, agents, and representatives
from any and all liability for an any injuries, loss, claim, action,
demand, or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with
the contest or any prize won, any misuse or malfunction of any prize
awarded, participation in any contest-related activity, or participation
in the contest. Entry names will NOT be used for subsequent mail
solicitation. For the names of the prize winners, available after
June 27th, please send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to: “Nick
and Norah's Infinite Playlist Internet Sweepstakes” Random
House Children’s Books, 1745 Broadway Mail Drop 10-4, New
York, NY 10019. Washington and Vermont residents may omit return
postage.
