I. HOW TO ENTER
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Enter by signing up for the Sister
Ink email newsletter on this page or you can go to http://www.randomhouse.com/teens/sisterink/signup.html
- if you are already signed up for the newsletter, just enter
your information again to enter. ONE ENTRY PER PERSON. If
multiple entries are received from any person in violation
of these rules, all such entries will be disqualified. All
entries must be received between 12:01 AM on March 14, 2006
and 11:59 PM EST on April 17, 2006. In the event of a dispute
about entries submitted by multiple individuals using the
same e-mail account, entry will be deemed to have been submitted
by the authorized subscriber of the e-mail account used to
enter the sweepstakes at the actual time of entry. The authorized
e-mail account subscriber is deemed to be the natural person
who is assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider,
online service provider, or other organization that is responsible
for assigning e-mail addresses or the domain associated with
the submitted e-mail address. Entries generated by script,
macro, robotic, programmed, or any other automated means are
prohibited and will be disqualified.
II. ELIGIBILITY
Sweepstakes is open to all legal residents of the United States
who are over the age of 13 on March 14, 2006. All federal,
state and local laws and regulations apply. Void wherever
prohibited or restricted by law. Employees of Random House
Inc., its parent, subsidiaries and affiliates, and their immediate
family members, and persons living in their household are
not eligible to enter this sweepstakes.
III. PRIZES
5 first prize winners will receive a copy of Fly on the Wall
(approximate retail value: $15.95).
IV. WINNERS
Winners will be chosen at random on or about March 10th from
all eligible entries received by Random House Children’s
Books. Odds of winning are based on number of entrants. All
prizes will be awarded. By participation, entrants agree to
be bound by the official rules and the decision of Random
House. Winners will be notified by email on or about April
17th. The prizes will be awarded in the name of the winners.
Taxes, if any are the sole responsibility of the winners.
V. RESERVATIONS
Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Random House
to use the winner’s name, likeness and biographical
data for editorials, advertising, and promotional purposes
in all electronic or print media without payment of additional
compensation or further permission (unless prohibited by law).
Random House assumes no responsibility for any error; omission;
interruption; deletion; defect; delay in operation or transmission;
communications-line failure; or the theft destruction, unauthorized
access to or alteration of entries. Random House is not responsible
for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone
network or lines; computer online systems, servers, or providers;
computer equipment or software; or failure of e-mail or entry
on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on
the Internet or at any Web site or combination thereof, including
injury or damage to the participant’s or to any person’s
computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading
materials from this Web site or sweepstakes. By entering,
participants and their parents and legal guardians release
and hold harmless Random House, their respective parent, subsidiaries,
affiliates, directors, officers, employees, attorneys, agents,
and representatives from any and all liability for an any
injuries, loss, claim, action, demand, or damage of any kind
arising from or in connection with the contest or any prize
won, any misuse or malfunction of any prize awarded, participation
in any contest-related activity, or participation in the contest.
Entry names will NOT be used for subsequent mail solicitation.
For the names of the 5 first prize winners, available after
April 17th, please send a stamped, self-addressed envelope
to: “Fly on the Wall Internet Sweepstakes” Random
House Children’s Books, 1745 Broadway Mail Drop 10-4,
New York, NY 10019. Washington and Vermont residents may omit
