Hi, my name is Cheyenne Buckingham, and I am 14 years old. I am a huge fan of Sarah Mlynowski's Magic in Manhattan book series! I love everything about them, such as the story line , the humor showed throughout all four books, the characters, and of course, the hilarious titles. When Parties & Potions came out around Christmas time, I immediately got it and read it in four days!Once I finished, I saw the contest in the back of the book that read…"in fifty words or less, write an essay about what you would do if you could be a witch for a day."

The best part was that the prize was to meet Sarah Mlynowski herself! By this point, I about had a heart attack and I quickly got started writing my essay. I put my entry into the mailbox the very next day, and had a thought cross my mind. This is a Nationwide contest, and I will never be able to win. Next thing I know my family and I are on an airplane to New York City to go meet my favorite Author! I couldn't believe it! I actually won the contest.

My family and I got to got have lunch with Sarah, and her publicist, Kelly at the Landmarc Restaurant. I had such a great time meeting and talking with Sarah. She told me her ideas for her up-coming books, and actually asked me for my opinions and thoughts. She was so down to earth, and I felt that I could talk to her about anything! She also signed some of my books so I would always remember the day that I met her! We stayed at lunch for about three hours, just talking about what I like to do for fun, where I go to school, who my friends are, and so much more. It was one of the best experiences of my life, and I hope that this will send a message out to every kid and teen out there, that it never hurts to give something a try. I mean after all, I got to meet my favorite Author!!!
