ABOUT THE AUTHOR A husband-and-wife team, Anne Gutman and Georg Hallensleben first created the Misadventures of Gaspard and Lisa series in 1999. Anne, the designer and writer of the series, is a children’s book designer. Georg, the illustrator and writer, was a painter before becoming a full-time children’s book illustrator.
