Magic Tree House
Junie B. Jones
All is fair in love and war. And science fairs. Jim abandons his best friend, Oliver, in order to work with a girl, Rochelle, A.K.A. Rocky, on the yearly science fair project. Rocky suggests they put up cameras and monitor a family of otters who live down by the old junkyard. Jim agrees and “borrows” some of his father’s expensive cameras that he uses for his surveillance business. When the cameras are stolen, Jim, Rocky, and Oliver stumble upon a secret that threatens their whole town: dinosaur-type robots that are not only intelligent, but are capable of thinking on their own. As the trio realizes these dinosaurs were the creation of Oliver’s long dead father, they are unsure of how to beat them. Oliver, however, believes they can fight fire with fire and beat these seemingly indestructible monsters. Will the group succeed? Or will their plan to create their own monster robot fall pitifully short?
