The Worry Web Site

By: Jacqueline Wilson

BOOK TALK

How well do your friends at school know you? Do they know your hopes and dreams? Your fears? Your worries? After watching his students be cruel to each other, Mr. Speed comes up with an idea that he hopes will end their cruelty. He wants to teach his class how to be supportive of one another and to help each other in times of trouble, so he creates The Worry Web Site, a place where students can type in their worries anonymously and their classmates can offer positive suggestions for solving their problems. While this might seem like a good idea, is there any way the students can really remain anonymous, or will they figure out who's worried about what and continue to make fun of each other in class?
