The Poisons of Caux: The Shepherd of Weeds (Book III)

By: Susannah Appelbaum
illustrated by: Andrea Offermann

BOOK TALK

The only one who can fulfill the ancient Prophecy of Caux, 11-year-old Ivy Manx, is dead. Or at least that’s what most people think. Her journey in the last two books of The Poisons of Caux hasn’t been kind, but at least Ivy hasn’t found herself in the great beyond. Instead she is held captive in a miserable orphanage, soon to be a victim if she doesn’t escape. With the help of her friend Rue, coincidentally also a prisoner there, and a new ally, Lumpen Gorse, Ivy and the others escape and begin their quest to defeat her evil father, Vidal Verjouce. To set all things to right in the kingdom of Caux, in this final book in the trilogy, both good and evil fight a dangerous battle to see which will prevail.
