The Opposite of Hallelujah

By: Anna Jarzab

BOOK TALK

Eleven years separate Caro Mitchell and her older sister, but really, Hannah might as well be dead. Caro even claimed she was back in grade school. It was too embarrassing to tell people her sister was a nun. Even her closest friends in high school don’t know about Hannah. So when she unexpectedly comes home from the convent, Caro’s world turns upside down. Who is this depressed stranger wanting to be a sister all of a sudden?  Despite Caro’s best attempts to ignore Hannah’s return, when she stumble upon some old letters her sister wrote she starts to change perspective. Discovering the truth behind Hannah’s need to become a nun might be the answer to restoring balance in both her family, and personal life.
