Magic Tree House
Junie B. Jones
No one believes Wyatt Parker is about to start high school. He’s on the small side and getting picked on by the school bully. Girls certainly won’t give him the time of day What’s a guy to do? When the girl next door starts noticing (and falling for) the high school quarterback, Wyatt is desperate to get noticed. If only he could play football too. Unfortunately, Wyatt’s parents have other ideas. Playing football is expressly forbidden in the Parker household. To make matters worse, his parents signed him up for golf camp this summer. But Wyatt’s older brother Aaron has the answer: ditch golf camp and play football anyway. There’s a summer football league that doesn’t require parental permission, or registration fees, or even proper safety equipment. Helmets? Who needs helmets? This is the ultra-secret, hard-hitting League of Pain. In order to play, Wyatt is going to have to prove that he is tough enough not to get caught.
