The Golden Ghost

By: Marion Dane Bauer
illustrated by: Peter Ferguson

Book Talk

Delsie and her friend Todd don’t really believe in ghosts. It still seems pretty creepy, though, when they investigate the abandoned houses by the old mill. All of the houses are locked up except for one—and it looks like someone has been living in it, which is against the law. As they leave, Delsie feels something soft brush against her. She doesn’t think much of until she notices golden sparkles in the air. When it reappears later, she realizes that it takes the shape of a dog… a golden ghost dog! Stranger still, no one could see it but her.  Is she trying to tell Delsie something? Will anyone believe her?
