The Girl Behind the Glass

By: Jane Kelley

BOOK TALK

Waiting for their new house to be move-in ready, the Zimmer family take up residence in an old house known for its creepiness.  Twins Hannah and Anna miss the city and friends they left behind. When school starts and Anna makes new friends and Hannah begins seeing and hearing things, their relationship becomes strained.  It doesn’t help that their favored older sister blames everything bad that happens on Hannah.  Then, Hannah becomes convinced that someone is trying to communicate with her.  Someone she can’t see wants to be her friend and doesn’t want to let her go.  The girl with the green eyes is trying to tell her something.  Hannah doesn’t realize that if she agrees to meet the mysterious girl named Ruth, she will be stuck in the house forever just like her.
