Book Talk
Meet Miss Kanagawa, a hand-crafted doll sent from Japan as an ambassador of friendship with fifty-seven other Japanese dolls in 1927, traveling across the United States to visit museums and attend receptions. Miss Kanagawa has a special heart and eyes that can see into a child’s troubled soul. Even though she is not alive, she has a way of changing the lives of the young children with whom she comes in contact. The lives of Bunny, Lois, Willie Mae, Lucy, and Mason are forever changed after the time they spend with the beautiful, samurai-strong Miss Kanagawa.
