Liar, Liar

By: Gary Paulsen

Book Talk

Kevin is intelligent beyond his fourteen years, and he believes that his constant lying is just good common sense. When he instantly falls in love with Tina, Kevin sets in motion the perfect plan to win her heart and be the best boyfriend ever.  And so the lies begin; lies to his teachers, lies to his best friend, lies to his project partner, lies to Tina’s best friend, lies to his Aunt Buzz, lies to his brother and sister, and lies to his parents. Sooner rather than later, his house of lies comes crashing down, and Kevin has to tell the truth to save his way of life.
