Magic Tree House
Junie B. Jones
Young and in love, Thea and her boyfriend Will find themselves in the not-so-unfamiliar situation of facing a teen pregnancy. Scheduled for an abortion, Thea abruptly changes her mind deciding to keep the baby. At first reluctant, Will gets on board and they make a stab at living together, trying to stay in school and keep jobs as new parents. With help from their own disappointed and dysfunctional parents, new parenthood soon turns out to be more than either teens bargained for. In a story that never feels preachy, the author portrays realistic characters trying to live with the consequences of their actions.
