A Boy and A Bear in a Boat

By: Dave Shelton

BOOK TALK

How much trouble can a boy, a bear and a boat get into?  The boy only wants to cross over to the other side.  But then some “unforeseeable anomalies” get in the way, such as storms and sea monsters.  The boy is bored and hungry. All the time. There’s nothing to look at but blue sky and blue sea in all directions.  Just when he thinks things can’t get any worse, they do. Can the bear and the boy overcome their differences and work together to find their way back to civilization?  Quirky and imaginative, find out if a friendship can be formed in the most unlikely of places and in the most unusual of circumstances.
