Magic Tree House
Junie B. Jones
Jokes fly when your last name is Dedd. However, when you accidentally kill yourself and your family, you are now notorious... not necessarily in a good way. Scarlett was just trying to get out of a field trip but her plan for giving herself a stomach ache went horribly wrong. When she finds herself dead, but still “living” (existing) in the same home, she tries to find ways to make contact with her former friends. She is so lonely; she’ll do almost anything to get her friends on her side again... literally, her “side.” Her plans turn out to be not exactly foolproof. Unfortunately, contact with the living has a most unpleasant side effect. Will her afterlife be as big of a mistake as her first life? Dark humor abounds in this quirky tale of life, family, friendship and of course, death.
