The mill
foreman yanks twelve-year-old Grace from the classroom to work at
the mill. She joins Arthur, the best student in the class, in helping
their mothers keep the dangerous machines at the fabric mill in
working order. Desperate for a way out, Arthur writes a letter to
someone he hopes can save him and the other children from their
fate. A terrible accident and a photographer who appears at the
mill then change their lives forever.
