Once upon a time there
was a pair of jeans. Not just any ordinary pair of jeans, either,
but a mystical pair of jeans that, surprisingly, fits each of the
four best friends perfectly— Lena, Tibby, Bridget, and Carmen.
Sad that this is the first summer the girls will be apart, they
form a Sisterhood in which each one takes a vow to share the jeans
and pass them along to the next in line. They are required to wear
them with reverence and write to the others about their experiences
in the jeans, no matter how much fun they are having.
