Nightmare
Joan Lowery Nixon
Hardcover | Delacorte Books for Young Readers | 0-385-73026-8
| September 2003 | $15.95 | Ages 12 and up |
When
Emily's parents send her to Camp Excel for underachievers, she has
a feeling that something is just not right, and she doesn't understand
why things seem strangely familiar to her. Wanting to help, her
roommate convinces her to draw a rune, stones that supposedly have
magic insight into the future. Emily draws Loki, the Norse god of
evil and treachery. Her roommate tries to protect Emily, but Emily
does her best to keep to herself, shying away from all group activities.
She's afraid that someone is always watching her, and that she is
in constant danger. Could this premonition have something to do
with the recurring nightmare she has had since she was eight years
old? Will her new friends be able to protect her from the evil they
are sure will befall her?
