If you have ever moved from one state to another,
you can relate to Roy Eberhart, whose family moves a lot. Roy knows
how to deal with bullies and he knows how to be the new kid in any
school–lay low and avoid the bullies. On the school bus one
morning, Roy sees a strange boy, barefoot and with no backpack,
running from the bus. Roy tries his best to find the boy, which
leads him to some mighty strange characters and puts him in some
dangerous situations.
When Roy finally meets the mysterious boy, he
is able to help him save a colony of burrowing owls from a proposed
construction site. It’s not often that the “little guy”
wins, and this book will leave you cheering for the underdog who
puts big business out of business. Follow Roy through this adventure
and make friends with a renegade eco-avenger.
