The
Gospel According to Larry
Janet Tashijan
Paperback | Laurel Leaf | 0-440-23792-0 | May 2003 | $5.99 |
Ages 12 and up |
Have you
ever thought about what you would change if you could change the
world? What issues and topics would cause you to take a stand? When
17-year-old Josh chooses to change the world through a Web site
he creates, he has no idea how the impact of his passionate writing
about consumerism, celebrity lives, and other hot issues would affect
him and those that read his thoughts. Josh assumes the name “Larry”
and soon Larry clubs are springing up all over the country and a
famous rock star organizes a LarryFest to honor “Larry” and his
ideas for a better world. Josh does his best to keep his identity
a secret, but when the media picks up the frenzy his Web site is
creating, his attempts at secrecy fail.
Once his
secret is out, life as Josh knew it is over. How will he ever be
able to return to a normal life? Where will he go and who
will help him?
