How many times have you lied to your parents hoping
you never get caught? And if you have been caught, how did your
parents react? Well, when Ellie meets Russell, her parents won’t
let her go out with him. So she lies about where she is going and
who she will be with. When her parents start calling Nadine and
Magda to check up on her, they catch her lying. Nadine and Magda
are angry with Ellie for using them and ignoring them because of
Russell.
Now Ellie is grounded and her lies become
more complex as she continues to meet Russell at the mall and the
park. Where will it all end? Will her parents ever trust her again—and
will Russell wait for her if she can’t get out to see him?
