FALLING
FROM FIRE
Teena Booth
Hardcover Wendy Lamb Books | June 2002 | $15.95 | 0-385-72978-2
| Ages 12 up

Have your parents ever embarrassed you to the
point of no return? Have you ever felt like a nobody? Well, Teri
has. Her mom has been married more times than she can count and
is engaged again to some guy who wants to be Teri’s “new
dad.” Her best and only friend is Wesley, who everyone else
thinks is a weirdo. Teri is tired of her life, but doesn’t
know what to do about it.
Fate takes over when Teri’s house burns down. She becomes
“somebody” at school; people she has only known from
a distance want to be her friends. Then her mom decides she wants
a new start in a new town with her new husband, her younger brother
wants to live with his dad, and Teri and her sister must live with
their grandmother.
Confused about which way to turn, Teri must
now start a new life. Somehow she’ll figure it out—
but she will never be the same.
