Have
you ever finished reading a book with your teen book group or advisory
board and immediately wanted to call the author to ask why this
happened, or why a character reacted in that way, or simply wanted
to know what happened after the last page?
Random House Children’s Books is proud and excited to bring you
AUTHOR 411, an opportunity to do just that!
We
invited hundreds of librarian facilitators of teen book groups to
participate in our ninth AUTHOR 411 event with The
Alchemyst and The
Magician by Michael
Scott, author of The
Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series. In
these fast-paced installments, two teens get swept up in a Transatlantic
adventure bringing them face-to-face with mysterious legends of
the past, enemies, old and new--and a call to save the world, of
course!
Following
a tremendous response, four lucky book groups were chosen to submit
questions to Michael
Scott after
reading advanced copies of The
Alchemyst and The
Magician. They
came back with especially insightful questions touching on a range
of topics--from the origin of Michael Scott's interest in mythology,
to the deepening relationships among the series' characters, to
burning questions about the upcoming books . . . to which Michael
has offered just a few hints to cool us off.
Here
is what our four teen book groups wanted to ask
Michael Scott about The
Alchemyst and The
Magician.
Be forewarned, there are some spoilers to plot elements below. If
you don't want to know what happens just yet, pick up The
Alchemyst and The
Magician
(available now), read them, and come back!
