The Prince
has disappeared without a trace. The King soon follows. Their absences
whisper of old magic. Timou, a young teenage girl training to be
a mage, realizes the abductions of the King and Prince are linked
to the disaster occurring in her own village: nothing is born alive,
even babes. Unsure of her own past, Timou seeks out the kingdom,
hoping she can find the root of the evil seeping in around them.
Once there, she not only finds an unlikely alliance with the King’s
illegitimate son, but also finds a dark secret about herself she
wishes she never uncovered.
