Sometimes
you have to work at friendships if you want them to last. Naomi
and Ely do just that. They have grown up together, made vows to
marry when they’re older, and even became each other’s support team
when Ely’s mother has an affair with Naomi’s dad. But there are
some things that even friends can’t work through. Secretly, Naomi
is in love with Ely, and that shouldn’t be a problem. However, Ely
is gay—someone Naomi can never have. Unable to face the reality
that they will never be married, Naomi dates other guys. She doesn’t
really like Bruce the Second, but she doesn’t really dislike him
either. In walks Ely. Ely and Bruce have an instant connection,
and Naomi is suddenly an outsider in Ely’s life. Will Naomi and
Ely’s friendship be strong enough to work through Ely stealing Naomi’s
boyfriend, or will Bruce the Second be the wedge that keeps them
apart?
