Ever feel
like an outsider? A loner? Ever feel like you’re stuck between two
worlds?
Danny is
a Mexican WhiteBoy, a kid whose skin is too dark for his private
high school and too light for the makeshift stickball field in National
City where his cousins hang out. He’s torn between life with his
uptight white mother and his larger-than-life Hispanic family. Of
course, the one person who could give Danny some direction is his
dad, who’s been M.I.A. since one fateful day three years ago. Danny
has a choice: he can step up to the plate and find his place, or
slouch back to the dugout and watch his dreams disappear behind
left field.
