Leo and
his younger brother, Stirling, face life in Malonia with their grandmother
under strict military rule. When Leo stumbles upon a blank book
in the street and strange writing begins to appear on the pages,
he realizes that his dreams are connected to both the past and the
future. He tries to solve the connection between his father, Harold
North, who was banned and the poems written by the great Aldebaron.
With Stirling’s help, he attempts to determine the truth between
the stories that appear on the pages and the dreams that swirl in
his head. Stories of a young boy with the eyes of a king, murders,
a young girl with a precious necklace, and a man with his butler
fill his mind while Leo struggles to deal with the cruel reality
that is his life at school. When he faces tragedy at home, his grasp
on sanity wavers. Will he find the truth in time to help himself
and his country?
