ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Jenny Offill is the author of Last Things, a novel for adults, and the co-editor (with Elissa Schappell) of The Friend Who Got Away: Twenty Women's True Life Tales of Friendships that Blew Up, Burned Out or Faded Away. This is her first children's book. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Nancy Carpenter is the illustrator of Apples to Oregon, an ALA Notable Book, and Fannie in the Kitchen, both by Deborah Hopkinson. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.
