Anne Gutman, the designer and writer of the
Misadventures of Gaspard and Lisa series, is a children’s book designer. Her husband,
Georg Hallensleben, was a painter before becoming a full-time illustrator of books such as
Baboon, And
If the Moon Could Talk, and
Night Worker. The couple lives in Paris with their daughter and too many cats.
