September 15–October 15 is National Hispanic Heritage Month!!

Started in 1998, President Bill Clinton proclaimed September 15–October 15 National Hispanic Heritage Month. To honor this increasingly significant part of our country he said, "Hispanic Americans are a thriving force in our society and a vital part of our economy." Clinton urged all Americans to participate through appropriate ceremonies and activities. Reading, as always, is the ideal tool for educators and children to explore and better understand this rich and interesting culture.
