Dear Reader,
For as long as I can remember, I've always enjoyed reading, writing, and listening to stories, and drawing pictures.  Growing up in a small, rural town, there wasn't much to do, so I would write and draw to entertain myself, on what we old-timers remember calling “typewriter paper.” It wasn't much of a leap for me to become a children's book illustrator. I'm a visual storyteller; I tell stories with my pictures. I feel I've done a good job when the reader can look only at my illustrations and get a good sense of the story. A wonderful writer’s words inspire my imagination.  I hope the illustrations I create for their words will help inspire readers' imaginations.
