About Us
Random House Reader's Circle is a select line of leading trade paperback original and reprint titles targeted specifically to reading groups. Established in l997 as the Ballantine Reader's Circle with seven titles, it was the first program to include a discussion guide in the back of each book—featuring author interviews, discussion questions and author biographies. Now offering the best of both Ballantine and Random House trade paperbacks and more than 400 titles, the Random House Reader's Circle encompasses both literary and commercial fiction and nonfiction, from groundbreaking first novels to classic works of contemporary literature. In addition to longtime Random House Reader's Circle authors such as Karen Armstrong, Elizabeth Berg, Dan Chaon, Fannie Flagg, Laura Hillenbrand, Alice Hoffman, Lorna Landvik , Adriana Trigiani, Anne Tyler, and Anna Quindlen the Random House Reader's Circle list now includes Sarah Dunant, Alexandra Fuller, Tracy Kidder, Monica McInerney, Azar Nafisi, Matthew Pearl, Arthur Phillips, Ruth Reichl, and Amanda Eyre Ward.

The Random House Reader's Circle draws readers and books together by helping to connect authors with book clubs through instore events and phone chats. It is also an invaluable resource for readers and book clubs who are looking for guidance in selecting their next book, conducting book club meetings, creating productive and dynamic discussions of books, and organizing a new book club. The interviews included in the Random House Reader's Circle books are unique opportunities for readers to connect with authors and expand their knowledge of the author and her writing.
